English:

Tamil:

Cultural and Regional Significance: Tamil is a classical language with a rich cultural, literary, and historical heritage. It's spoken by millions of people in India, Sri Lanka, and the Tamil diaspora.

Total number of English communicators is 1.5 billion, whereas, Tamil communicators are 75 million, across the globe.

Tamil and Sanskrit are both ancient languages, but they belong to different language families and have distinct characteristics. Here’s a breakdown of their similarities and differences:

1. Language Family:

Sanskrit is an Indo-Aryan language and is part of the larger Indo-European language family. It is an ancient language of India, closely associated with Hindu religious texts like the Vedas and Upanishads.

Tamil, on the other hand, is a Dravidian language, which is a separate language family native primarily to southern India and Sri Lanka. Tamil is one of the longest-surviving classical languages in the world.

2. Script:

Sanskrit is traditionally written in several scripts, with the most common being Devanagari. It can also be written in other regional scripts depending on the region (e.g., Bengali, Telugu)
