I belongs to the illustrious musical family of Darbhanga Gharana / Mallick Gharana and represents the 13th generation of this musical lineage. My training in Dhrupad started at an early age under the guidance of my guru and father Pt. Ram Kumar Mallick, a world renowned Indian Classical Musician. I have privilege to learn from my Grandfather world renowned Dhrupad Legend Pt. Vidur Mallick. I m a regular broadcaster of All India Radio and Television, and is a well-known 'A' Grade Artist of AIR & TV in Dhrupad and has successfully performed at many prestigious music festivals all over India. I have been mastered not only Dhrupad but also in Khyal, Thumri, Dadra as well as Bhajan, Vidyapati Geet. I have participated at several prestigious musical events all over India with good remarks. I was awarded Gold Medal (President Award) in the National All India Radio music competition in the field of Dhrupad Music 2004 as well as National Scholarship by the Ministry of Culture for the period of two years 2004-05. I am giving vocal music training to many students of all types vocal music.
