Aditya Pandey

I am pursuing doctoral research from centre for political studies, jawaharlal nehru university, new delhi, india. My doctoral research sifts through the binaries created in the discourse over land question and interrogates the land component, emerging land system in district of west champaran (bihar), the ways in which structures of power through a configuration of social forces/classes accumulate around it, and the contestations or processes of democratization that emerge in the region in a historical perspective. My other research interests are challenges of inclusive citizenship, constitutionalism and state practices, historical injustice and democratic rights, climate uncertainty, dispossession and sustainable urban/rural livelihood. Awards and work experience: I am currently working as resource person for directorate of training, union territory civil services to provide training to civil and public servants by the government. I have been recipient of ugc junior research fellowship, ugc-daad fellowship (under indo german partnership in education) and university post-graduate scholarship. I have worked, a) as an assistant professor (guest lecturer and ad hoc) in the department of political science, sri guru nanak dev khalsa college (dev nagar, karol bagh), university of delhi, b) as a teaching assistant at centre for political studies, jawaharlal nehru university, c) as a research staff/field assistant in icssr sponsored project on ‘status of reservation policy: a study of higher educational institutions in bihar’ and project on ‘climate change: uncertainty from below’ by centre for the study of developing societies.
