I taught at elementary school student for three years , during the last year of my studies. It was difficult at first, because I found it hard to cope with the discipline issues in the room. However, after few weeks I got into the groove, and learned what worked with the students, and how to keep the discipline at a reasonable level at least. It was an extraordinary time, and to be honest, I still miss the children. However, now it is time to move on and start teaching full time. And that’s exactly why I am here.Teaching experience is the culmination of skills, exposure or training acquired over time that enables you to perform an existing job better or prepare you for a teaching position. You acquire teaching experience through different avenues, some less common than others.Create conditions for strong collegial relationships among school staff and a positive and professional working environment, as these contexts are associated with the greatest gains in teacher effectiveness. Strengthen policies to promote the equitable distribution of more-experienced teachers and to discourage the concentration of novice teachers in high-need schools, so that students are not subjected to a revolving door of novice teachers, who are on average less effective than their more-experienced peers. Other strategies for developing the teaching workforce and reducing turnover have been well documented elsewhere, such as providing clinically based preparation and high-quality mentoring for beginners as well as career advancement opportunities for expert, experienced teachers.
