I completed my BA in 2006 from HNBU Garhwal University and a B.Ed from the Army Institute of Higher Education in 2009. I also pursued my MA from the University of Jammu in 2011. I was certified in TEFL/TESOL in 2020 from the Asian College of Teachers. I am currently attending the Image Consulting business institute for soft skills training. I am an educator and have over five years of experience in the field. I started my career in 2010 at Army Public School. I’m a trained graduate teacher who used to teach the English language to middle school students. I have been working as a soft skills trainer for the last one and a half years.
My motivation behind choosing my career as a teacher was to contribute to the lives of the children, as they are the country's future, and that is the time they are laying the foundations for themselves. I decided to be a soft skills trainer to reach a wider audience and fully utilise my skills and creativity. While training different age groups of students, I experiment and approach the training in newer, more imaginative ways. The distinctive trait of my sessions is that the content is tailor-made and specifically designed to cater to the student's mental age and understanding. My classes are held in groups and individually according to their requirements, while I mentor students, working professionals or adults aspiring to expand their skills.
I wanted to add value to society by contributing to students' life in their personal growth and development. My classes are highly interactive, and my methodology is well-planned to cater to every student's needs. My classes are designed with three efficient methods, i.e. interactive, experiential and lecture. MY training modules include Effective Communication, Emotional Intelligence, Goal Setting, Interview Preparation, Personality Development and Time & Stress Management. I use various resources to make my sessions more interesting for the students. PowerPoint presentations and videos are often referred to explain topics efficiently in class. I also give handouts containing the crucial points from the session for the students to refer back to later. My expertise in training lies in Interview skills, Communication and public speaking and Emotional intelligence.
