See that the coefficient of each logarithmic term as 1, 3. Express many log terms as single log term(on both sides) wirh the help of laws of logs. 4. Remove log with common base on both the sides. If one side is log term other side is any number, convert log equation in to exponential equation and isolate required variable. 4. read less

First note down all the laws of logarithm, then look into the problem and think which of the identities to use, in order to arrive at the result.

By using log tables and log properties if you talk of calculation. If you are talking of log problems in XIIth Maths in Calculus then you need to use properties of Calculus and log both.

There are many types of methods.. Sometime you take antilog bothside... Sometimes logarithm standard identities are used to make simpler forms.. Why don't you ask some specific problem?

I have been teaching for 30 years. I can Maths & Physics for XI-XII/PUC/IBDP/IIT-JEE/CET/IAS.

Remember the definition of logarithm. Observe the base of log. Remember the 5 laws of logarithm. Apply the rule for 'change of base' whenever needed. If you pose a particular problem, I can explain.
