Have you ever wonder about food.if not then let's start thinking about it.Because you eat food everyday .why do we eat food.is it just because we want to or it has some benefits.Of course, they have some advantages. And that is why we eat food everyday.food is the primary need of all living animals it is not just that human eats food .if you see in the world around you, you will notice that all animal your dogs, cats, birds eat food.even the plants in your garden need food.Their food is water .if you stop watering plants they will die in few days. You will also notice that only living things eat food and non-living thigs such as the chair, your cricket bat, and ball, notebooks never eat food .then what is so important about food that every living being eats food.food provides energy neccessary to do different work such as playing, running, doing homework. You can't do all this things without eating food .

did  all animals eat same food. No, different animals eat various types of food.you may drink milk, eat eggs, fish curry all this came form  animals. you also eat fruits, chapati, dal, rice this food came from plants .can you think about any food that didn't came form either plants or animals.you need different substance to cook food or to make particular dish. so all the substances required to cook food or to make any particular dish are called ingredients .

Do you see that your mother uses different substances such as salt, oil , chilli powder while cooking food .so you need different substance to cook food or to make particular dish .so all the substances required to cook food or to make any particular dish are called ingredients .

i said that different animals need different food but what does it mean?.some animals eat plant, some eat flesh of other animals and some both.so the animals the eat only plants are called Herbivores .The animals the eat only the flesh of other animals are called Carnivores and the animals that eat both the plants and flesh of animals are called Omnivores .can you think about the examples of this animals

examples
