Women are the poorest of poor because in India till date, people doesn't want them to provide education or didn't want to see them growing or becoming independent resulting lack of confidence, knowledge and ability to work or fight for them to earn a good living. Similar rule applies to female infants. Females are treated as 'burden' in some parts of India till now, which is very unfortunate. They're not provided good quality education, Required nutrients due to lack of sensitivity among people towards girls making them to fall in poorest of poor category. Elder people are the poorest of poor. Reasons are as follows: 1. In India, due to huge population, organizations want young and energetic manpower, who can work extensively and even at low rates. Thus, making elderly people unemployed due to which they face lack of funds during their most important phase of life. 2. Children didn't want to take care of their parents when they become old. They treat them as 'liabilty' or 'burden', making them embarrased in their own eyes. Due to this, they were left alone. Also, their emotional and mental level at this stage makes them weak due to rejection by their own child, and indirectly making them to fall in poorest of poor category. 3. When elder people are working and earning good, they did not want to save it for their after-retirement future. Instead they invests/ spend elsewhere on their child's education, their house or fulfilling their some another wishes due to love and affection. As a result, lack of funds is faced by them during their after retirement phase. 4. Elderly people are provided to work at lower wage rates. 5. Elder peoples are unable to heavy amount of physical work, which makes them unavailable for many laborious jobs and making them unemployed. read less
