The uniqueness of this academy is that, Betty Jerushah (my beloved mam) identifies the strength and weakness of the students and train them accordingly. "As a native English speaker, I found it unnecessary that my parents were forcing me into attending IELTS tutoring and initially, I was extremely reluctant to attend these classes. My first "review" session where Betty assess her student's linguistic capability, ended up with an argument over her analogy of the common pizza. I do fully agree with her on her debate that a pizza is only as good as its toppings. As with the pizza, no matter how good your English might be, there is always room for improvement. Such improvement cant be achieved only from practice as it requires someone to guide you and point you in the right direction. IELTS assesses four linguistic skills and each task requires you to tackle it differently. With Betty right by my side or sometimes in front of me due to the seating position, I was able to quickly grasp the varieties of tasks handed to me. Any mistakes and doubts I had were immediately clarified by her which is something you cannot get from self-study or online tutorials. Needless to say, If it weren't for Betty, my IELTS score would definitely have been lower than the 8/9 that I achieved with her help. Her style of individual teaching along with her patience at tutoring someone as highly annoying as myself (I am sure anyone-else would have returned my money and kicked me out for being too annoying) is something you cannot get at most IELTS coaching centers. Kornerston is highly recommended by me if you're in the neighborhood for IELTS coaching. "
