I started speaking English from kinder garden due to the fact that my mother tongue is "English". I have always wanted to share my knowledge with everyone, especially my less fortunate friends who did their best to speak conversational English with much difficulty. When the opportunity knocked on my door as I joined Jorox Academy team I was designated to teaching soft skills to +2 students passing out and getting into vocational engineering diploma courses. Sadly some of them did not even know basic English words and had to be taught almost every single sentence. Difficult job but that is what a teacher has to learn first is to be very patient. It was an enjoyable experience for me as I started with intro of my self and my personal experience as a teacher/ trainer. My favorite English topic was debates/conversations mock job interviews /public speaking. Students begin to open up to a friendly and patient teacher they begin to trust you with their inner most fears of facing bad performances and results. My role was to first calm their fears and instill a sense self-confidence or self esteem. I have done that quite frequently and found that it really worked well. Some times I used computer presentations to make things more interesting. I have been a tutor to age group ranging from 6 years to 60 years both at home/colleges and schools.

I am also a Montessori trained teacher so my teaching skills were mainly centered on LKG, UKG, 1-V students. I have about 3 years hands on teaching at WOW Kids Montessori school. due to the pandemic my services were discontinued after which I started online classes tutoring UKG students, college students. After the pandemic I moved on to taking home tuition and still very much into online and home tuitions.

KG/Nursery profile: I have been doing KG teaching to small children between the ages of 3 -5 years on a part time basis during the last 10 years at different schools, whenever there was a shortage of English teachers. I have been teaching tiny tots with different backgrounds and my skill was my ability to speak, and to deal with children, who could sometimes be really troublesome, the fact is that they were just babies coming into a strange world, so having patience enabled me into calming the child first and then deal with the other physiological factors later ! My first strategy was to be friendly and gain the child's self confidence, even while teaching them the general school-related topics of reading / writing /speaking and learning different styles and activities, while getting the most out of each student. The next step was to explain to the students, new ideas and unfamiliar concepts with authority in a clear and concise way so that students would understand, and most important of all was holding their attention, as they are little kids and could easily be distracted. I have also made it a point to engage parents in creating healthy relationships with students and faculty to help create a quality-learning environment while molding their young minds. Extra activities like Art & craft, Clay modeling, painting, handwriting improvement, story time, games, Music and dance was part of the curriculum, which I have been involved with KG students.
