Memory Allocation is the main difference between Structure and Union. Structure allocates memory for each of its members whereas Union won't do that.

You can define a union with many members, but only one member can contain a value at any given time. Unions provide an efficient way of using the same memory location for multiple purposes. Binary of 8 is "1000" and here by this command 3 bits of "1000" will be shifted to right. Hence Binary will be "0001" so your expressions answer will be "0001" i.e. 1

Difference between "C structure" and "C++ structure".
C is process oriented programming.. so c follows procedure in execution where as C++ is object oriented and messages are been passes between the objects..
