How do I declare and initialize a string in C++?

to create a string we first declare it, then we can store a value in it. cout << "This is a string." << endl; In order to use the string data type, the C++ string header <string> must be included at the top of the program.

There is an extra terminating character which is the Null character (‘\0’) used to indicate the termination of a string that differs strings from normal character arrays. read less
