While doing engineering you'll surely go through many ups and down which will prepare you for your further life. You'll realize why getting a job is not important and get indulge with the practical world is something you should do. The exposure you get in a B.tech degree will help you in succeeding your life rather than the marks. No other course can give you a life experience rather than B.tech.

Learning is knowledge. You need to choose your career based on your interest. If you are interested in maths you can opt for BTech otherwise do BSC and after that doing some short term course to get job in that field.

B.Tech is a technical graduate degree. It depends on your personal interest whether you want to become an engineer or pursue some higher degree after B.Sc. Both have ample opportunities.
