What is the difference between Projection and View?
Hi Priyanka,
A Projection is an anticipated data that is forecasted for a specific set of conditions. As its a predicted set of information, it is not a REAL value that is currently in place.
Whereas when we talk about the View, it refers to the real data that is existing and reflects the same. For instance, when you are referring about a projection on a data, its dependent on the current set of data -- for example, the projected value of population after ten years can be calculated based on the past set of information/values. Whereas when we refer about a View, we would take a particular instant and fetch the exact information and data that is currently residing, which is then reflected.

Hello Priyanka,
A projection is similar to the shadow of a given object on a given plane. A projection is a non-real entity which provides us with the shape of the object in a given orientation onto the specified plane (XY, YZ or XZ). Whereas a view is a physical representation of the object as seen by the viewer.
For example, when you hold your phone in the room and look at it from an angle, like from the front, then we consider it as a front view. If you view it from the top, then consider it as a top view of the phone. Whereas if you light a torchlight on the phone, the rectangular shape is formed on the wall (Similar to a plane). That rectangular SHAPE is called a projection. So what you see physically is the view, and the shape formed by the light on the wall is projection.
