ofcourse you can. after doing diploma you give entrance test and get admission into btech 2nd year directly and eventually you will be awarede the degree of engineering.there are many examples where people started with diploma and eventually became very successful engineers.

Definitly you can. If you do Btech after a polytechnic diploma then you will be entering the btech as a lateral entry and the course period will be 3 years. I think you shuld go for it because it willl increase the chance of getting jobs in a good company with good salary.
