If you have trouble maintaining eye contact try look people at the point in between the eyebrows. Reading something aloud in private and recording your speeches and watching them also helps.

There are several steps to become a good speaker. 1. Smile as you are un front of the audience. 2.Be clear about the concepts. 3.As you are a beginner, prepare an intro as well as conclusion which can be used in general. 4.Try to make eye contact with everyone and find out some faces which can provide you confidence and positive energy and focus on them. Finally.....Practice in front of mirror, your close fronts and your beloved family. Source : My experience Gratitude: To my parents, teachers and friends who made me a good speaker. read less

Hi, I had stage fear , even i didn't give my project presentation properly in my B.tech. My teachers are very close and friendly to me., as i'm good at my academics . my friends and my teachers forced me that i have to present my project. But due to my stage fear, i couldn't do that successfully. that was my situation. But Now i become a Good facilitator and delivered many training successfully. I developed this skill slowly and with self confident, initially when i want to deliver a presentation(there was a situation where i want to take some session for my juniors during my M.tech), i looked at a person who is comfort for me and kept seeing him only till the end my presentation . like that i did that for 2 or 3 presentation. then slows i started looking at others. started to use the full stage and started eye contacts. that's it once u start getting the eye contacts of our audience then u are a good speaker. Also what ever we say here is like teaching swimming theoretically. You should started ur way with full self confident . read less
