Water has angular or bent 'V' shape due to repulsion between 2 bond pairs and 2 lone pairs which make bond angle approximately 104.5degreee from ideal tetrahedral arrangment which is 109.27 degree.Whereas Ammonia has bond angle 107.5 Degree due to repulsion between one lone pair and three bond pairs...

Hi,
I hope you are doing well :)
According to VSEPR theory
I) H2O: In water molecule oxygen atom is placed in the centre having two lone-pair of electrons and two bond-pair with H-atom. It gives rise to "Tetrahedral" geometry for the water molecule, and the shape of the water molecule is "Angular" or "Bent Shape"(line a V-shape).
The bond angle, i.e. H-O-H in a water molecule is 104.5°.
II) NH3: In ammonia, molecule nitrogen-atom is placed in the centre having one lone-pair of electrons and three bond-pair with H-atom. It gives rise to "Tetrahedral" geometry for ammonia molecule, and the shape of the ammonia molecule is "Trigonal pyramidal". The bond angle, i.e. H-N-H in ammonia molecule is 106.7°.

NH3 has a bond angle of 107 degrees and is pyramidal this is because it has 3 bonded pairs and 1 lone pair. the lone pair repels more than the bonded pairs and this results in the bond angle being 107 degrees.
