Hi Sai. Simple 5 steps for increasing your focus on studies.
Step 1: List down the five "time-waste" activities which you did instead of studying
Step 2: Pick the subject which you like the most. Reward yourself with one "time-waste" activity if you read 10 pages of any chapter in that subject's text book.
If you like watching Youtube videos, do that after reading 10 pages of Marketing
Step 3: Pick the subject you dislike the most. Read 10 pages of that text book before doing your favourite "time-waste" activity.
Read OB/BE before going for a movie/or playing cricket
Step 4: Replace 1-2 "time-waste" activities with learning MS Excel. I can teach you :-)
MS Excel is the key for understanding programming and also helps a lot in Finance/Accounting without having to read text books
Step 5: Just try and go to bed one hour before.
If you were lying down at 11pm, try sleeping at 10pm. I am sure at least 1 "time-waste" activity would be reduced!

Let me know after trying these 5 steps. All the best!

  3. Eliminate distractions: Identify the factors that distract you and try to eliminate them. This could include turning off your phone, avoiding social media, or finding a quiet study space.

  4. Stay organized: Keep your study materials and notes organized to avoid wasting time looking for them. Use tools like calendars, to-do lists, and study planners to help you stay on track.

  5. Take breaks: Take short breaks in between study sessions to avoid burnout and help you stay refreshed.

Hello Nagasai The most important thing is that you realised that you need to stop wasting time is a great achievement in itself.  How I used to focus was 1. Identify the sources of distraction in your life and take steps to minimize or eliminate those distractions. 2. Create a study schedule and try to stick to it as much as possible. Avoid any other activities or commitments during those times. 3. Choose the right space that you are comfortable in, to study. 4. Take regular breaks. Studying for long periods of time without taking breaks can be mentally exhausting and make it difficult to stay focused.  5. Reward yourself. Set aside something as a reward for the amount of work you do for the day and complete your goal.  Hope this helps! All the best
