One thing to notice is that in this ratio denominator cannot be zero. Why it can't be zero? Well, try to divide a number by zero! You can't. So mathematics has put a limit to it. To visualize this- Imagine this ratio as ratio of study ( you do at home) and distraction (any teeny tiny lack in concentration while studying) . So, study/ distraction, where distraction is denominator. Now, for any hour ( 1 hour, 2 hour, 3 hour etc) of study, you cannot have zero distraction . You will have some, may be a fraction of a second, but there will be some amount. So here we go.

Many scientists believe it is kept in the solid state because of the extreme pressure from the other layers.
