There's nothing called as Indian Classical Guitar. There are only two kinds of guitar when it comes to Acoustic Guitars
1. PLECTRUM GUITAR which is played using a PLECTRUM a.k.a. Stricker/Pick
2. CLASSICAL GUITAR which is played using fingers to pluck.It is also called as A SPANISH GUITAR
But the music genre can be like you said Indian Classical Or Western Classical
Moreover, a beginner can opt for any of the two above mentioned guitars, since each and every instrument has there own beginner lessons
Moreover, I would like to suggest to learn Western Music Notations Instead Of In Alphabetical Patterns as Western Notations persay is a Universal Language Of Music
