"I have been laerning Carnatic Vocal from Venkat Sir since 6 months. Three of my cousins are also takking the lessons from him (one of them who has been his students since one and half years recommended him to me). He is extremely professional and understands and supports the needs and limitations of working people. His knowledge of music (both theory and practical) is vast and extensive. It includes varnams and krithis by various composers and some rare compositions. He takes the extra efforts to clarify notations, lyrics and their meanings by referring back to relevant books. His teaching methodology is unique and customized to suit the learning pace of the respective students. The notations and recorded lessons that are shared after the class provide extra support to the students to learn them in detail. He is punctual and communicative.
