I belong to a family of Hindustani Classical Musicians. I have over 20 years of experience in teaching and used to teach in the US. I have an M.A. in music. I regularly take online classes for students in Canada. I help in taking Gandharva University exams. I have performed various times including the gurupurnimas of my Guru, Pt—Parameshwar Hegde, who is also my older brother. I have conducted multiple bhaitaks as well as gurupurnimas. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of Hindustani Music and receive joy in helping my students improve their abilities in singing, even if they are not naturally gifted. Everyone can improve if they work hard enough. I encourage sending recordings and practicing.
I teach only women and children.
Prices - 650rs for solo classes of 55mins. 400rs for group classes of 55mins.

"Uma maam is very knowledgeable, Though soft spoken she is firm on getting best ot of students. Have learnt many dhuns, raaga parichaya sargam and lakshan geet, chota and bada khayals as well as bhajans in various raagas taught by uma ma'am and have been her student for more than 8 years. "
