Vocal Music

"I was looking for good vocal teacher nearby my vicinity and was fortunate enough to land under Mam's guidance and supervision. Mam does take time for each individual to teach as per learners pace and understanding - loved this aspect. Because of this we get to learn / listen new things and also get to revise already learnt things. It's a 1 year + learning under her and I loved each and very class I attended - learnt 10+ ragas and counting. Different techniques learnt so far is not only helpful in improving the singing as a complete performance but also identifying own mistakes relating to scale and taal - as she explains nicely (if something went wrong) what we sang and how it sounded v/s what it should have actually been. "

"Have had the privilege of learning from Smt.Sumithra Prasanna and it's been about 4 months for me now as her student. We are taught in small batches, and Sumithra Ma'am is personally invested in each student’s progress. There is no rigid “one-size-fit-all” model instead students are guided basis their individual strengths, weaknesses, and pace. Also, in each class when students sing she gives her comments and compliments accordingly. This really helps students know where to work on and where they are good and shows her expertise in Hindustani vocal Music.
