Hai Kasturi, today many private institutions and online classes available to learn Carnatic vocal. But all they don't conduct exams. You can understand privately, but to get certifications you have to go through the exams conducted by the state government. In Telugu states, the certificate course is four years, diploma two years. In Karnataka state, junior and senior grade exams will be conducted. So according to your state, you have to decide based on your requirement. For beginners, certification or junior grade is best.
