"I was searching for a Guru to teach me Hindustani classical music. I was searching for someone who would teach me vocals accompanied by Harmonium. I am glad my search ended after finding Subhra Ma'am. She is well organised in teaching music. She gives well structured theory notes that helps me in doing Riyaz effectively at home. She also tries to understand individual capabilities and speed at which the student grasps the concepts. Thus providing individual attention to every student. She does not hesitate to repeat the theory to clear doubts. I was able to understand the basics easily because of her style of teaching. I am always excited and eager for the next class to learn more. After assessing my learning speed she told me to play Harmonium along with singing so that I can understand how the Sur, Taal and instrument should match to render beautiful music in unison. She also connects the theory to Bollywood songs and tells how different raagas are used in movie songs. She gives the background, history and other details of every theory piece. I am absolutely thankful to Ma'am and Urbanpro for helping me find the best teacher. I highly recommend Subhra Ma'am for learning Hindustani classical music. "
