"Madam Shruthi Sharma tutored us in Physiology at Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences. Just listening to her lectures it was quite obvious she put a tremendous amount of effort into gathering information from various sources and teaching us in a refined and easily comprehensible manner. Her teaching style evokes professionalism and confidence. I still remember her classes on Renal Physiology where she explained the counter current mechanism with a clever thief comparison to drive the concept into our brains. Her lectures are information packed and she is capable of clearing students doubts in a friendly and sophisticated manner. Her fluency in English and dynamic lecturing skills are commendable. We were lucky to have her as our tutor. "

"Physiology is a basic subject, is highly concept oriented and cannot be rote learned. It forms the fundamentals of one's medical knowledge. Therefore a firm grasp of physiology will lay the foundations of a good doctor. This is exactly what Dr Shruthe helped me achieve. In class she carries an aura of knowledge and of kindness. She methodically and painstakingly made sure I understood each concept that was hers to teach. She never did mind the repeating seminars in order to help me digest the then hard concepts which are now my basics. She used to go down to the grassroots level and give us simple analogies so that I would understand and remember longer. The notes she made me write were the only material I referred for my exams and occasionally still do. Even in practical labs, the fundamentals of peripheral blood smears were made easy by her. So in conclusion her methods of teaching and attitude to students are a model for others to follow. I have yet to meet another teacher like her. I am and always will be proud to be her student. "

"Shruthe mam took both physiology theory and practical classes for our MBBS batch. Physiology being the most important foundation subject of MBBS curriculum,Mam made us understand the concepts very clearly, depth with effective illustrations and diagrams, with reference of standard textbooks. Every concept being started with objectives of learning it. Created involvement and interest in all students about the subject. Mam's method of teaching with both 'PowerPoint' and "chalk and talk"makes an effective logical presentation and helps us understand concepts more comfortably. She encourages participation from all students, praises and responds to students questions. Clears doubts with logical illustrations.also tries to make us think n brings out answers from ourselves, which is very unique and lovable way of doubt solving by mam. "

"I have had the pleasure of being taught by Shruthi mam. She taught the demonstration classes for physiology lab ( for a class of 25) as well as a few lectures ( for a class of 150). The possibility of teacher-pupil interaction offered by the first was effectively utilized by Shruthi mam. The sessions were relaxed yet encouraged you to arrive at answers yourself.
