Can anyone tell me how to become a Penetration Tester? What are technologies should I learn, and is it right to learn in 2021, what is the job strategy for fresher or experience?

Select an area of interest in PenetrationTesting( Web Application, Network, This Client Application etc.) Read and understand OWASP Top 10, SANS TOP 25, CWE. Hi,

The best route to learn Penetration Testing is below. 

  1. Select an area of interest in PenetrationTesting( Web Application, Network, This Client Application etc.)
  2. Read and understand OWASP Top 10, SANS TOP 25, CWE.
  3. Suppose you selected web application Pen Testing as your interest, start testing Webgoat, DWVA and OWASP juice. Use OWASP Testing guide as a reference while you practice. 
  4. Learn how to use proxy tools while you test. Best is BurpSuite and OWASP ZAP.
  5. After above, start Testing on Vulnerable OS from Vulnhub. Start with easy ones. Read write-ups on how to solve these machines. 
  6. Vulnhub machines will teach you a great deal on pentest tools, network pentest, Application pentest and OS Vulnerability. 
  7. From here on the path is to practice on more advanced and challenging Vulnhub machines.  
  8. Build a home lab to simulate the Enterprise network and practice on it.

The best route to learn Penetration Testing is below.
