"One of the best teacher I found near JP nagar. Being a IT employee and not from musical back ground I joined flute classes with Raj sir. Its been 4 months, with regular classes and practice I could see myself very proud, I can play flute and understand Hindustani carnatic difference, swarasthana and simple Geetham. He understands the students strengths and weekends and teaches accordingly. It has been a quite good learning experience for me till date. He is very good at both classical and light music. "It was really a great experience while learning with Raj sir. The way he explains the methods of playing flute is very easy to go. Not just about flute he actually gives deep knowledge of Classical Music in very easy way that makes the learning curve even more smoother. It's really comfortable to learn with him, - You can have flexible timings, based on your and his availability. - You can consult with him any time - He will keep on giving tips and trick which make you to learn difficult parts very easily - And it's not just classical way you learn to play in flute. Classical and Songs learning go side by side. This is his style of teaching and it's really effective. It's great learning with him which will keep on going. "

"Before starting the classes, I presumed that a classical music teacher would be very strict and one would have to be very careful and respectful of the him. I half expected it to be like a school where you're given homework that you've to finish it in a prescribed time. But sir, as I realized in the very first class, is completely different. He earns the respect from you with his teaching and behavior. I was definitely given homework to finish - but gradually he made sure that I enjoy doing it. He teaches you music and also talks about tradition, history, varieties of music. After a certain stage, he starts teaching light music (songs from films). That gives you a playground to listen to the original song and try to guess what notes are being used. I learned a lot in this process. One thing I liked in this is that if I feel some note is not what is present in the song, I can casually tell it to him and he'll play both my version and his version and if required - make amends to the notes or tell me where I went wrong. This is a freedom one rarely gets. One other thing I liked is that he stresses more on the feel of a song rather than just the notes in the song. He draws stories from his personal experience to impress how important this is. TLDR: I had a fair bit of interest in learning flute before the classes. After 6 months, that interest has only increased but never faded. The classes were very interactive and he gave me freedom and made sure that I enjoy every class. "
