"Priya subbu has been teaching my grand daughter (8 years) carnatic music for almost two years. I would say she is extremely patient, sincere and very well versed in teaching carnatic music. She has a beautiful voice and is very clear and perfect in the rendition of songs. She has very good skills in teaching - especially young children who are playful by nature and find it difficult to sit in a place for a long time by making the class interesting to them. She has updated herself in music to suit young minds and teaches them in such a way so as to develop an interest in learning carnatic music. Overall I would say she is a talented person well versed both in theory and practical singing of carnatic music. "

"Priya is a very accomplished carnatic, Hindustan and Western vocal singer along with being proficient in playing the guitar and the piano. My daughter has been Learning carnatic vocal under her tutelage. Priya makes learning, something as intimidating as carnatic vocal, extremely fun for my daughter. Over the past year we see a progressive change in her voice, pitch and singing. She also teaches a lot of vocal exercises drawing from her own Western music training which is helping my daughter immensely. Most of all my daughter loves to go for singing classes without a fuss so I think Priya is a very good teacher. "

"My daughter has been training under Priya for a year and a half now and I am amazed by the level of patience she has to teach kids who are so young. My daughter started learning from her when she turned 4 and there are several kids in that age group now, who are all given individual attention. Her attention to detail is worth mentioning - every note is perfect before the kid moves forward in the lessons. She is an inspiration to many with her beautiful voice and her knowledge of music - she can give many professional singers a run for their money. Her enthusiasm to bring the best out of each kid, ever present smile, persuasive nature makes her a wonderful teacher.
