Overview

I've been trained for 5 years in mumbai under terence lewis academy and the danceworx performing arts academy (ashley lobo) in various international dance styles such as ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, freestyle, jazz and salsa. I've also worked as an assistant choreographer in a south indian movie named ravi bopanna starring v. Ravichandran and as a choreographer for a music video produced by golden guns entertainment. During covid, I trained online with several international teachers and was awarded scholarships by eurasia international network, b12 festival berlin, and movement researchers all over the world. I have a teaching experience of 9 years in dance both online as well as face-to-face. My students range from 5 years to 60 years and come from all skill levels from beginners to advanced. I'm also a yoga alliance certified yoga instructor. I've completed a yoga teacher training programme from triguna yoga, rishikesh. I've been teaching yoga for 11 years. I've also been successfully conducting movement meditation and dance healing workshops for students all over the world.

Kathak is a classical dance form which is Indian origin, there are lot of expression and grace involved with each movement, whereas jazz is more about expressing yourself with confidence and attitude, there are lines in jazz, whereas the pattern of movement of kathak is very different, again there is no better dance form, you discover your interest once you join classes for first few months

What is the most difficult form of dance: ballet, Bharata Natyam, or Kathak? Why?

Basically we can't compare because all are needing years of practice, depends on which one you are passionate about learning and then how many hours you practice everyday

Which dance form should you start teaching your children with Indian classical or ballet dance?

The only answer you get is the child's interest, if the kid is not interested in any of these you keep pushing and it won't be pleasing for any of you. So for 1st month just give them exposure to any style see how child is reacting and is enjoying it or not.
