IdentityI earned my CELTA certificate from in 2016. Eventually, I started training kids, teenagers and adults alike informally. I have also worked in a language academy as an English language trainer.
As a language trainer and guide, I analyse students' needs, learning styles, strengths, weaknesses and tailored lessons based on that analysis. I ensure that there is a perfect blend of audio-visual and kinaesthetic activities in the lessons so that they can motivate all kind of learners to learn. As a result, the students used to enjoy the lessons and would give positive feedback about the lessons. So I believe I can cater to diverse groups of learners with different preferences and needs.
I have worked with books from Oxford University Press(OUP), Cambridge University Press(CUP) and (Macmillan). In addition to adapted course book materials, I employed authentic texts to target students' needs.
Prior CELTA, I studied at British Council, Kolkata teaching centre and completed six advanced English language courses.
My experience from CELTA, observing teachers from the British Council and working in private language academy has helped me to adapt a creative approach towards language teaching. Be it the students from CELTA or the students I offer tuition informally, I have always enjoyed a strong rapport with my learners.
