"After my fashion design degree, my family wanted me to take it up as a profession. But I was so low on confidence, that I was not sure if I should do it. My practical knowledge about the field was zero. Luckily I found Poornima Ma'am, who helped me with her Boutique Management Course. I am now so much confident and soon starting my business. It's all because of her. Thank you Ma'am. "

"I am doing my PGDFD and had to showcase my fashion products, as part of my course. I was not sure of what and how to do the products. I visited so many design houses and tutors to help me with my work. But no one could help me with what I wanted. Some of them had no clue of what it is. A friend of mine suggested Mrs. Poornima and she was like an angel to me. She helped me with all my products and also suggested changes that made a big difference to the outcome. I got so much appreciation for my garments, all because of her. I have also taken up a course on Bridal gowns from her, which to my knowledge no one teaches in Bangalore. She is a Master Tutor. "

"A Fantastic Teacher. She is very patient and positive. She knows the subjects very well. She is very talented and no questions go unanswered. It is so fun to learn from her. She just not teaches the syllabus but gives industry insider tips as well. She runs a beautiful bridal boutique, which adds up to her experience and skills. She gently corrects mistakes so you won't feel discouraged. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for Fashion Designing courses. I have learned Pattern Making, Indian outfits for Women (Blouse, Dresses and Wedding outfits), Western outfits for Women, Fashion CAD, Aari Embroidery and Machine Embroidery. "

"A great Teacher. Ms. Poornima is a patient, intervening and vastly knowledged person. I can't thank her enough for all the help that she gave me. With her help I am able to take my work to the next level. I will definitely recommend her as a tutor. Though I did my B.Sc, from a reputed Fashion Institute, I was not confident enough to proceed further. Poornima Mam not just helped me with my skills, but also helped me setup my own boutique. She is ocean of Knowledge. More of us need you Mam. You make difficult topics seem so simpler. Thank you. "

"She is the best teacher. Though I was the eldest of all her students, she never made me feel out of space. For her all her students are equal. She took extra care, and taught me the concepts. I appreciate her patience with every single student. She won't let you out, unless you are thorough with your subject. Her knowledge in the subject is really commendable. She is my confidence, and I can now stitch my own blouse without any hesitation. I have seen students coming to her for practical experience even after completing certifications with best fashion schools in Bangalore. I really wish her all the best in everything she does. We need teachers like her. I would recommend her to anyone who is really serious in fashion designing. "

"I decided to go to Poornima Mam after seeing the reviews on Urbanpro. I wanted to learn blouse making. I already had tried a few teachers for learning blouse making, which was not upto the mark. When I called her, she said her class will be too far for me. But I wanted to learn. As imagined, she taught me to be the best in blouse stitching. She also taught latest designs, how to find out trends, how to take proper measurements, how to do color combination, how to choose designs for different body types and all. I am so confident now that, I stitch blouse for others as well. I run tailoring business from home, and I am happy. I recommend Poornima Mam for everyone. Thank you Mam, for building my confidence as well as making me self reliant. "

The size of a crochet baby blanket can vary depending on its intended use, but here are some common dimensions: Common Baby Blanket Sizes Receiving Blanket Size: Approximately 30" x 30" to 36" x 36" Description: A small, lightweight blanket that is perfect for swaddling or covering a baby in a stroller or crib. Crib Blanket Size: About 36" x 48" to 36" x 52" Description: Designed to fit standard crib dimensions, this blanket can be used for nap time or playtime. Stroller Blanket Size: Approximately 30" x 40" Description: A cozy blanket that is the right size for use in a stroller or car seat, providing warmth and comfort while on the go. Lovie or Security Blanket Size: Roughly 14" x 14" to 24" x 24" Description: A small, comforting blanket that babies can hold onto. These are often made with a soft texture and can include a stuffed animal or doll attached. Toddler Blanket Size: About 36" x 50" to 40" x 60" Description: Slightly larger than a baby blanket, this size is suitable for toddlers transitioning from cribs to beds. Considerations When Crocheting a Baby Blanket Safety: Ensure the blanket is lightweight and breathable to prevent overheating. Washability: Choose a yarn that is machine washable and durable, as baby blankets will likely need frequent washing. Comfort: Soft and gentle yarn is ideal for babies’ sensitive skin. Cotton and acrylic blends are popular choices. Design: Consider using a simple stitch pattern that is easy to work with and produces a lovely texture. When choosing the size for a crochet baby blanket, consider the purpose and the child's age. The most common sizes range from 30" to 48" in length or width, making them versatile for various uses. These dimensions provide a good guideline, but feel free to customize based on your design preferences and needs!

Crochet is generally faster than knitting. Here are a few reasons why: One Hook vs. Two Needles: Crochet uses a single hook, which can make it easier to maneuver and faster to work through stitches compared to using two knitting needles. Larger Stitches: Crochet stitches are usually larger and bulkier than knitting stitches, meaning you can cover more area with fewer stitches. Simpler Stitch Patterns: While both crochet and knitting can create intricate designs, crochet is often more straightforward, especially for beginners. This simplicity can lead to faster completion times. No Need to Transfer Stitches: In knitting, you have to transfer stitches from one needle to another, which can be time-consuming. Crochet doesn't require this, as each stitch is completed one at a time. However, the speed also depends on the complexity of the pattern and the individual's skill level. Some knitters might be very fast, especially if they use techniques like continental knitting.

Tatting uses tatting thread which is thicker compared to the normal thread. Tatting also uses tatting hand device which helps moving ones hand in between thread loops. Where as Crochet uses crochet hook to achieve designs.

Stitching is used for joining two pcs for fabric in a prescribed way. Whereas Embroidery is used to embelish the fabric / garment. Sewing is to make the fabric pcs into a usable form, while embroidery is to make it look beautiful.
