Mother Tongue Influence (MTI) is very commonly seen among native English speakers. The tone and vocabulary match with their mother tongue. MTI isn't just an issue with the Indian audience but is a global issue. One of the reasons why people have this MTI issue is they are habituated to speak and listen to the mother tongue right from birth. It remains for long unless well-trained to overcome the problem.
Neutralizing your accent is what you should focus on. Speak up words louder, very louder. It kills any probability of having a different tone. Record your voice and listen to them, ask friends to monitor and keep recording them till you come to a state of being able to identify the difference.
Now move on from words to small sentences and then paragraphs. Modulate your voice properly based on punctuation.
