I am an English literature graduate with a passion for teaching. I have had an extensive career in the communication industry, having worked for twelve years as a copywriter and technical writer. I have also worked as a communication trainer for Hinduja Global Solutions and Dell, providing soft-skill communication related to customer services. These experiences have allowed me to develop my skills in effective communication and to understand the importance of proper spoken English in various professional settings.
My goal is to help my students remove the influence of their mother tongue on their spoken English and focus on proper spoken structure. I have taught Spoken English online and offline for five years, dedicating one hour to all age groups. In my teaching approach, I use various tools to facilitate learning. I employ PPTs, videos, audio, and kinesthetic learning techniques to ensure my students are engaged and can learn effectively. Additionally, I focus on phonetics teaching to help students improve their pronunciation and clarity of speech.
Before starting classes, I usually conduct a pre-evaluation based on homework assignments to assess my students' current understanding of spoken English. I also provide PDF notes to ensure my students have all the necessary materials to reinforce their learning. Apart from my native language of Tamil, I can also speak Kannada fluently. This has helped me to relate to my students better and to understand their unique challenges when it comes to speaking English. I am dedicated to providing my students with the best learning experience possible.
