Film Making

"I attended the 23rd film making workshop by Goldenagefilmhouse on 28th & 29th January. 1. Excellent communication sans technical verbiage. Why is this important? for an amateur just about learning the world of film making, someone who can put forth the concepts in simple to understand, accent-free communication is God sent. That and when a pro decides to not slap you with his know-how of technicalities, you know you are in the good hands of someone who knows the much-trodden path of a confused amateur. Vihaan did very well in this aspect. 2. No nonsense approach. In this day and age when every Tom and his aunt loves to extol the artistic wonders of a director from eras gone by, Vihaan stuck to the basics and told all that had to be told for one to start his/ her film making journey and very maturely stopped at that. Bonus points for this. 3. Show and tell. For every concept, he had a video to show. Transitions? done, he has a project where he's used it and then shows you the project files. Audio noise reduction? Done, five exact clicks and he shows you how its done. Dissolve? Spent better part of an hour going through it with us on a live project. You get the idea. 4. Starts on time. While I transgressed as student, it was refreshing to see someone who started the class at exactly the time he said he would. I just wish something'd would be done to better the ventilation the room. Can get stuffy when the doors & windows have to be shut due to noise outside "

Film Making

"The workshop was quite interactive with examples being explained by streaming videos. Vihaan was excellent sharing his knowledge which he himself has acquired with quite a lot of hard work and passion. It is quite appreciable of him to take the initiative of conducting such workshops in a bid to encourage people's passion in film making. I would certainly recommend this workshop to all aspiring film makers. I would certainly like to get involved in any future projects from golden age film house. Keep up the good work !! "

"For those who think that what would you learn in 2 days workshop, i can assure you this guy has amazing knowledge and he shares everything with a big heart in just 2 days.. I have being into media industry for a while now, and I can actually seal the fact that the amount of the technical knowledge this guy gives in just 2 days is not possible even by spending thousands elsewhere. "I had a great experience with workshop conducted by Goldenagefilmhouse. The 2 day workshop is designed in such a way that you will learn from beginning to end on how to make your first short film. The best part of it is Vihaan-the mentor will not only teach you theoretical part but also you will make a short film there practically. Both Vihaan and Deepith are very cooperative, whatever you will ask they will listen eagerly and will answer your question. "It was a compressed and yet very effective package of film making covering all important aspects (within a span of merely 20 odd hours) well enough to make you confident to go out and explore your talent with an idea in mind, a plan on paper, and the camera in hand. Add to that, the short movie shot within less than half a day by instant brainstorming by all participants was amazing. It was truly a confidence boosting as well as an extremely informative event. Kudos to the GoldenAgeFilmHouse team for coming up with the idea of such an exciting, yet short spanned workshop, special credits to Keerthi (Vihaan) Natarajan for making it so easy for beginners to believe in their ability to pursue their interest in film making by sharing so much about his own journey as a filmmaker, and in the process, giving valuable tips to the participants.
