This is about the first step to learning Drums. This course aims to equip you with the fundamentals of playing the drum kit. You will be introduced to the basic rhythms and grooves of the drum kit. As we progress, we will teach you different drum beat permutations and patterns. We will also discuss how these beats and rhythms can fit into different songs.Â
This course includes-Â
1. Introduction to the drumkitÂ
2. History of the drumset
3.Different parts of the drumkit, Posture and learning how to the hold the sticks and different gripping styles.Â
4. Learning the basic rudiments. (Single stroke, Double stroke)Â
5. Introduction to Music Theory (Reading notations and playing along with them)
6. Reading and playing along using metronome.
7.Learning different new rhythms and playing them on the snare and then on the drumkit.Â
8. Learn Quarter note and Eight note beats.Â
9. Learn two songs atleast.Â
10. Rockschool or Trinity Rock and Pop Syllabus also followed alongside debut grade songs.Â
NOTE: This course is for beginners starting to learn drums.
A student can complete this course in less time as well, Three months is an average.Â
Student just needs to get a pair of drumsticks and a notebook to the class.Â
