"We Live in New Jersey, USA and my Son is taking Online Guitar Classes with Ramesh for a few months now. The Guitar Program is Excellent and Well Structured. Definitely, technology has a major role in helping us connect with a good professional. As it is a Live video interactive session my son feels just as ease as taking a class with a teacher at home. He is tremendously talented and wishing him more success. "

"The content of the class is great. Every lesson has a backing track which helps in practicing after class. Ramesh is very friendly and have good skills. The only thing which I didn't like is the group formation. Try to take a group where people are of your level else it becomes a problem for beginner as well as advance player to learn at the same time. "

Simply put the learning process will start the day you pick up the acoustic or electric guitar!! It may just take 30 minutes to learn a simple melody and to strum a chord. So practically you have learnt to play the guitar in just 30 minutes. But then it all depends on your goal as a guitar player. Learning the guitar is a progressive approach and you build the skills over a period of time. If your goal is to only learn chords, strumming techniques and learn few songs and instrumental pieces, then probably in 6 Months you will be good at it. If your goal is to be a versatile electric guitar player across genres, have good soloing skills, learn in depth of scales/music theory, learn to use multi-effects pedals, ability to compose your own music etc., it may take anywhere between 2 to 5 years. The time frame depends on your commitment and practice and more importantly be under the guidance of a good guitar instructor with a well structured curriculum and training method. So just pick up the guitar and start learning and everything else will fall in place.

Using Modes creatively is a bit complex and is related to the chord progression, harmony, music theory etc.. The best way is to jam along with backing tracks and explore using various chord progressions and modes.. In the example that you have mentioned , all the modes are basically the same A minor scale notes that are played starting from each of the scale notes. So if you are jamming against an A minor track you can use any of the 7 modes and all of them will sound great as they are all the same A minor scale notes. Basically the 7 modal shapes of A minor helps you solo across the fretboard. But to improvise and create great solos you need to effectively use the consonant and dissonant notes, interval ideas, various soloing techniques etc.. For example if your chord progression is Am-Dm-G-Em you can try the following - For each of these chords try hitting any of the chordal notes. For example with the Dm chord, the D, F and A notes will sound great - Try using the dissonant notes to create tension in your solo and resolve it by hitting a consonant note - If you know the 3 notes per string shapes of the 7 modes, you can play some cool fast runs - Try using arpeggio ideas against each of the chords - You can also use the A Harmonic minor and the 5 pentatonic shapes of A minor against these chords to create a different feel to your solos Cheers..
