Teaching is a noble profession. One does not go into teaching for the money but rather for the twinkle in the eyes of a student when they have understood a concept you taught them or figured out for themselves how to solve a problem based on your guidance. Teachers are facilitators making things happen in the class room and outside. The greatest compliment is when a student (whom you may have taught long ago) approaches you on the bus or in the market place and tells us something like, "You really helped me learn..." Teaching is not just a job that I perform because I expect a reward at the end of each month; it is my passion and I feel extremely satisfied with every successful lesson. I like to help the society, and teaching gives me a great opportunity to do so. An English class curriculum should include grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, pronunciation, fluency, etc. If the audience isn't too young to understand, then you can distribute the same to inform about the current and upcoming classes. Encourage students to listen as you speak a word or series of words aloud. Once you've spoken these words, instruct the students to repeat after you. Focus especially on vowel pronunciation, and letters that sound different than they usually do in the alphabet. For example: "Dear [Hiring Manager's Name], As an English Teacher with [number] years of experience in fostering a love for literature and language in diverse classroom settings, I am excited about the opportunity to bring my passion for teaching and my innovative curriculum design to [School Name]." My first time cooking experience was pretty bad. This was during my 8th std or so. My Mother was hospitalized for a month. Dad was taking care of mom and he stayed with mom in Bangalore which is nearly 100 kms. So daily travelling was not an option. So, my dad used to visit me once in 2–3 days. During those days, I was like always hungry kind of guy. Though neighbors provided food at most times or whenever i needed. My mom likes me being independent. So, I gave it a thought that from now i am not taking food from neighbors and let me cook my food. So, i enquied with my dad when he is coming home. So that by the time he will be home he can eat it. I liked Avalakki or Poha or Rice flakes. I decided to make Avalakki. I used to help my mom in daily chores and also with cooking (only the cutting part, Turning off the stove at right time, or stirring) My mother had thought me a basic cooking strategy. Sannige erulli cut maadi, adr sarige athva swalpa kadime tomato na cut maadi, 2–4 chikka menshinkaayi, ishte main ingredients mathe vagarne ge enne, sasive, 1 kempa menshinkaayi, karibevu haakidre saaku. ( Finely chopped onions, cut the tomatoes almost same or less quantity of onions, cut 2–4 green chillies, These are the main ingredients, For Spice maker, add oil, mustard seeds, 1 Red chillies, Curry leaves) if we add rice it is Chitranna/tomato rice, if you add rice flakes it is Avalakki Vagarni. If you add puffed rice it is Mandakki Vagarni. This was the cooking secret which my mom taught me. So, i know only these and have seen my mom cooking . So. i am ready with the ingredients for Avalakki Vagarni. Th eonly thing is, I did not know in which order i have to add those ingredients. I think you guys would have known what would have been the outcome…:P Scene: My dad came home Dad: Enadru thindya??? ( Did you eat anything???) Me: ninge kaytha idde. Ivaga thinnona avalakki madidini. Neen thindu helu hegide antha ( I was waiting for you. Will eat now. I have made Avalakki) Dad: Ohh ok superr Me : I got the plates and avalakki for my dad and me. Dad took a bite and said superr agide( it is superrr) I was feeling proud of myself. Kiran you made it. But somewhere, I had the doubt, Is it so good. i started thinking. then i took my plate of avalakki and i tasted it. Seriously, i was like appa henge thinde idhu pacha pacha anthidde ( Dad, How did you eat this??? It is very bad) I realised that i have messed the order in which i added the ingredients. I added onions at the end after adding the tomatoes. Therefore it was pretty bad. My dad did not even complain me. He was happy that i made it. Thsi was my first time cooking experience. My dad, Mom and Bro, Still make fun of me for this avalakki…:P
