My husband has just studied 12th STD. However he has about 13 years of experience (basically in customer service/call center) and is now in a Managerial position with one of the reputed e-Commerce companies. It is very difficult for him to switch JOB, because of his education. Except for education, he has all the managerial skills & caliber. Any suggestion on what he has to do?

I think your husband's age may be around 36-38 yrs. You might have kids & allied responsibilities. Reason for switchover is not mentioned. Whether it is inevitable to switch over to new one ? Every job has inbuilt responsibilities, accountabilities adding with some benefits. Managing these facts are person specific how he/she manage & avail. Further to note that any skill(s) which is/are suitable for one job, may or may not be suitable for another job though it may be of same designation. To cope up the drawback of lesser education, somebody should improved in continuous manner by getting further education. My personal view is that knowing nothing or less is not bad, nothing to do to improve the condition is the bad. I also agreed that there are some exceptional adverse situations during that period we as human are helpless. In short BAHTA PANI MITAS DETA HAI, RUKA HUA PANI NAHI. Same applies to knowledge. I am 40 yrs old working as a financial editor for a local newspaper. do you think it is too late to switch job at this age. wants to do MBA from NIBM and become foreign exchange analyst and eventually start my own forex consultancy. Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Sir, I appreciate your courage as you decided. As you questioned me, I expressed my opinions as below. I don't think that any MBA course contains curriculum of practical FOREX problem at advance stage. If it has that are too primary. Only any professional course like CMA (i.e.ICWA), CA, CFA is the answer for expert knowledge. Stay umarless to acquire any skill, any knowledge, because MIND IS THE MASTER. If we travelled towards our goal with calculated risk, in planned & phases manner, nothing is too difficult. We have to arrange our preferences for our life. Being forex consultant, one should have knowledge & skill of cross currency exchange rate, foreign & fiscal policies of nations, Hedging techniques, etc. There is difference of Forex Consultant & Forex exchanger. Needless to say that I have completed my PG Commerce in 1990. During my job, I acquired CS education, ACMA qualification at year of 40+ Now I have my own consultancy in addition delivering lectures on Finance, Taxation, Accountancy, Costing at different levels of studies.
