confidence is basically a self belief . a belief that is you are at ease with the outside world .confidence is all about knowing that "yes i have it in me to face whatever comes my way ".but as i deduce here you wanna know how to build confidence with respect to a knowledge in a particular field say such as "communication skills ".so communication is both an art as well as science .first u will have to know the basic /rudimentary essentials of a good communication.then u will feel at ease with the subject . then u need practice practice and just practice .confidence comes through practice ,experience and analysis. dont be afraid of making mistakes .but be afraid of making same mistake over and over again . learn from your mistakes .once you are done with the basic ,go for the kill .shift your focus to finer nuances .because the depth of knowledge also makes you feel confident .like suppose if u hav to speak about about atopic u know so well u will automatically exude a lot of confidence . so to sum ,to build confidence u need to progress step by step building block by block and never forget practice is the sole basis of cinfidence
