0Some special meanings of certain verbs in French:
Aller:
i. Aller à la pèche: To go fishing
ii. Aller à la chasse: To go hunting
iii. Aller à pied: To go by walk, to go on foot
iv. Aller loin: To succeed (Elle est intelligente. Ele ira loin)
v. Aller trop loin: To go too far (Please note this does not mean “to succeed” this is going beyond limit).
Il va trop loin. Son père est très fache. (He has gone too far. His father is angry).
vi. Allez-y: Go ahead
vii. Aller à quell qu’un: To go well, to be fine (Cette robe vous va très bien: This dress suits you very well).
