Meet Sridhar Santhanam, an Expert IELTS Trainer

Sridhar’s journey as an IELTS Trainer started in Melbourne, Australia, where he was trying for a part-time job in an institute when he was a student at Monash University. What started as a part-time job in 1997, has helped Sridhar find his real passion in life. Over the last two decades, Sridhar has taught more than 3200 students and working professionals and helped many of them score 8 and above IELTS band score. Our heartiest congratulations to Sridhar!

Here is an excerpt from the interview with Sridhar Santhanam, an IELTS Trainer:

Q1. When and how did you start as an IELTS Trainer?

Ans. The story goes way back to 1997 in Melbourne Australia, where I walked into one of the institutes for a part-time job being a student at Monash University. However, the owner of the institute appointed me immediately as an IELTS Trainer after a quick demo on IELTS.

Q2. What skills are required to become an IELTS Trainer?

Ans. A student first and trainer next. However, experiential learning and inductive ways of learning methodologies are important.

Q3. What do you think makes you stand out from other IELTS Trainers on UrbanPro.com?

Ans. I have taken the IELTS test in 1997. I have also taken the Train the Trainer program conducted by IDP, so I have an edge over other trainers.
