Certified in advanced terracotta jewellery making, Sreedevi Pavani is an arts and crafts trainer with more than eight years of experience. From making and arranging stocking flowers and flower baskets, jewellery making, and designing handicrafts with terracotta clay to the traditional baking- Sreedevi teaches all these art forms. She also trains her students in clay modelling that includes making of small toys, dolls, flowers, show pieces etc.

Here is an excerpt from the interview with Sreedevi.
Q1. When and how did you start as an Arts & Crafts trainer?
I started giving classes for handicrafts in 2014.
Q2. What skills are required to become an Arts &Crafts trainer?
All a trainer needs is an immense passion to teach, dedication towards the subject that is being taught, a general understanding of the capabilities and mindsets of different students, and of course, expertise in the subject matter.

I guess that’s on the students to decide, I just let my work speak.
Q4. How did you come across UrbanPro.com?
It was once when I was searching for a Mathematics tutor on the internet, I came across UrbanPro.
Q5. What was the turning point in your career?
When I started taking handicraft classes in 2014, I came across UrbanPro platform. I would like to mention that this was the major turning point in my career. It was only after registering on UrbanPro and creating my profile on the platform, that my work got recognised.
Q6. How did UrbanPro.com help you expand your teaching classes?
It was through UrbanPro that I got an opportunity to work as a handicraft coach at Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM, L-tap courses). It has also been helpful in directing students to my home institute for arts and crafts.
Q7. What percentage of your work comes from UrbanPro.com?
Nearly 75 to 80 per cent of my work comes from UrbanPro platform.
