Here is an excerpt from the interview with Roslin Richard.
Q1. When and how did you start as a Handwriting tutor?
In 2004, while teaching calligraphy I came across many students who did not have neat and legible writing. I then discovered a new way of teaching cursive writing and I named it as, ‘Handwriting Enhancement Course’, for kids of six years of age and above. I observed that after the completion of this course, the handwriting of students started to improve drastically, with visible differences.
This course not only improves the skill of calligraphy but also develops concentration and memory. Speeding up the writing pace without losing the beauty of handwriting is another added advantage.
Q2. What skills are required to become a Handwriting tutor?
All you need is an immense passion for teaching and patience with every student whether young or old. You also need to groom yourself in a manner such that you are able to motivate your students and can think from their perspective to further understand their strengths and weaknesses.
Q3. What do you think makes you stand out from other Handwriting tutors on UrbanPro.com?
My students are not restricted to any particular age group. I am happy to say that so far I have worked with more than 1,750 students - kids, middle school goers and even the high school students. .. Besides, many adults whom I trained, have started their own institute.
