Here is his experience & teaching journey in her own words:
Q1. When and how did you start working as a Tutor?
Ans. I started teaching in 1996 at the same place where I was learning music for my Visharad degree in vocal music. I used to assist my guru in conducting classes for her music centre. Noticing my interest in teaching, she asked me to teach her students. In 2003 I joined R.C.A. Girls Degree College and started teaching vocal music to undergraduate students. This was the start of my journey as a music trainer.
Q2. What skills are required to become a Music Tutor?
Ans.
- Understanding the fundamentals of music and its importance. The patience to make sure that the students understand their core lessons.
- The ability to notice and pinpoint the students' mistakes and communicate them in an effective manner to correct them.
- Specifically, as vocal music trainer, they must understand the natural singing scale and vocal range of the student and must not force students to sing in the trainer’s scale.
Q3. What, according to you, helps you stand out from other Music Tutors on UrbanPro.com?
Ans. My approach to teaching is very student-centric. I give special focus to fundamentals to build a strong base for the students.

Q5. What was the turning point in your career?
Ans. Finding my guru who not only strengthened my knowledge of music fundamentals but also helped me understand music rather than just knowing it.
