The IIT JEE Main score is given by Central board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The score of IIT JEE Main reflects marks secured in each paper. The IIT JEE main exam results also determines all India rank of the candidate and their eligibility for IIT JEE Advance exam, the next step.
According to official calendar of events, CBSE first publishes score in Paper – I along with AIR and also reflects the eligibility for IIT JEE Advance exam and then releases score of Air Paper – II.
The two requisites to check score of IIT JEE main exam are – Roll number and Date of Birth.
Though many websites publish the IIT JEE main exam result, the foremost and authentic one to check from is the official website of IIT – JEE main. (http://jeemain.nic.in/).
No score card/result is dispatched by CBSE and so online cross checking is the only way to know your IIT JEE Main Result. Students can download soft copy of their IIT JEE main result.
Date of result (IIT JEE Main Result, Paper I) – 27 April 2017.
The score will consist of the following:
a) Eligibility for IIT JEE Advance exam 2017
b) Marks of Paper – I in IIT JEE main exam
c) Other conditions of eligibility
The rank in the IIT JEE main result comprises the following:
a) All India Rank (used for admission in IIT, IIT, CFTI, SFI, NIT)
b) All India category rank
The IIT JEE Main rank card comprises the following:
Considering both IIT JEE main score and normal score of Class XII score (60% and 40% weightage), separate rank lists are prepared for admission in IIT courses.
