I don't think so there's any competition between Tamil and Hindi. Every language is somebody's mother tongue, and all the languages are diverse and great, yet there's no comparison. Thus, there's no need to compete with anyone on the basis of language. Language is just a mode of communication and meant to speak, read and write, that's all.
