Tell them about great leaders and there desicions and achievements that created a huge positive impact on society

Teach them the importance of health

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, preferably include extracurricular activities in the time table. 

If that's not possible, starting habituate and encourage them to play games in groups with enthusiasm, rest they will take care. 

Make a team of 5-6 each one from different department and ask them to discuss and bring few problems and possible solutions, while discussion make sure everyone gives a point. 

Every engineer has a different perspective of solving the same problem. 

At last make them choose a interdisciplinary project out of their proposals and let them execute it. 

Very good and right question, this decade is the decade for entrepreneurs especially in India, coming to the point within engineering there are many subjects and specific to the subject there can be many inventions happening around the world, make a good exposure to the students regarding them and try to focus on real world problems(especially rural India)and solve them through engineering perspective

Make them feel that a particular product is really very essential for the development of society and country
