Teaching Experience in detail in French Language Classes

I started teaching French to beginners at Jawaharlal Nehru University,New Delhi, while I was still studying there.I used to tutor several students as well on a private basis-students of Modern School, New Delhi. I was awarded a French government scholarship to pursue my teaching credential in France.Later, I taught at the Alliance Française d eDelhi, from 1993 to 1996. I moved to the USA and have been teaching French at Palo Alto schools for more than a decade now. I have tutored students of 10th-12th standard in both Delhi and California (students from the prestigious Harker School). I teach grades 7th and 8th in California.I am motivational and interesting, laying a lot of emphasis on spoken French. In California I have also been part of the Bay Area Foreign Language teachers' association and attended several professional development courses. Last year I was in the leadership program of SWLP (Stanford World Language Program). I keep myself up to date with all the latest trends in Foreign Language Teaching. In 2007 I completed my National Board Certification, a highly regarded degree, that allows you to teach in any state of the US.I am adept at using technology and work on a mac.I use a Smartboard at school.
