For paper 1 start reading newspaper on a daily basis, read lucent gk thoroughly and pearson's book by KV Madnan. Also practice maths, reasoning and DI from RS Aggarwal's book Quantative Aptitude.
For paper 2 read the basic history (hons) book linke Upinder Singh, Romila Thapar, Satish Chandra, Bipan Chandra, etc.
At the end, practice a lot of mock tests.
